Family Fun Time – Kick Cabin Fever
Colorful Styrofoam bird kids craft that will help pass the time at home.
Supplies you will need:
- small Styrofoam cup (You can buy a huge package at Walmart for under $2 or at Dollar Tree.)
- acrylic paint (color of your choice)
- Fun Chalk Liquid Chalk Markers
- patterned scrapbook paper
- colored feathers
- googly eyes
- orange cardstock paper
- tacky glue
- Elmer’s X-TREME Glue Stick
Directions:
1. Start by painting the outside and bottom of your Styrofoam cup and set it aside to dry. While it dries, get your other materials out and ready. Also, cut two leaf shaped wings from your scrapbook paper and a triangle shaped beak from your orange cardstock paper.
2. Once your cup is dry, use your chalk markers to draw scallop lines along the cup to look like bird feathers.
3. Add a generous amount of X-TREME glue stick onto your scrapbook paper wings and orange beak and glue them onto the bird.
4. Finish your bird by gluing on your googly eyes and a feather on each side.
Get super creative with different colors and fun patterns on scrapbook paper to make some unique looking birds.
