Teller/Customer Service Representative, Hartford, SD

Schedule: Full-Time
Job Description: The main functions of the teller/customer service representative will be to greet and assist customers with various in-person transactions, answer and assist customers over the phone, and open new accounts as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
Greet and assist new and existing customers as they enter the bank.
Conduct a variety of banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, money orders, savings bonds, certificates of deposit, IRA’s, and/or loan transactions.
Open new demand deposit accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes, IRAs, etc. for customers as needed.
Sell additional products to customers and participate in various retail product campaigns the bank initiates.
Refer customers to appropriate bank staff as needed.
Perform services in accordance with bank standards, policies, and procedures regarding document inspection, signature and amount verification, etc.

Able to adjust quickly to different work situations and remain composed under pressure and in stressful situations.
Respond sensitively to the needs and priorities of the customer; recognize and take appropriate action to meet their needs and establish an effective working relationship with customers to gain their respect and loyalty.
Project a positive image of the bank to all internal and external customers.
Maintains confidentiality of customers’ account information and follows established policies and procedures in responding to inquiries and requests.

Qualifications
High School Diploma is required. Banking experience preferred.

Ag and Commercial Lender, Hartford, SD

Schedule: Full-Time
Job Description: The main functions of an Ag and Commercial Lender is origination, analysis, and servicing a variety of commercial/consumer/ag loans to clients.

Originate all types of loans as authorized by bank policies and procedures.
Interview applicants to develop background information concerning their experience, needs, desires, abilities, and earnings.
Analyze applicant’s financial status credit to determine feasibility of granting loans.
Performs on-going financial analysis and reviews operating statements.
Work to maintain asset quality and collections.
Market bank products to individual and businesses, promoting bank services that may meet customer’s needs.
Participate in business development activities.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree is required and 4 years or more of relevant work experience is preferred.

Credit Review Officer

Schedule: Full-Time
Job Description: The Credit Review Officer is responsible for completing credit reviews, discussing all well-known deficiencies and recognized weaknesses and tracking corrective action of noted weaknesses. This person is also responsible for evaluating the adequacy of and adherence to Bank loan policies and procedures. The Credit Review Officer provides mentoring to less experienced lenders and assists in the oversight of the loan boarding process and staff.

Complete Credit Reviews
Provide leadership to lending and loan boarding staff
Assist with special assets

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.

Be able to facilitate meetings, safeguarding that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are addressed;
Knowledge Base:
- Credit risk management best practices, policies and procedures;
- Loan accounting, credit analysis, financial analysis, lending practices, banking regulations, and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC);
- Financial analysis including ratio, trend, and cash flow analysis;
- Lending policy, procedures, loan documentation and appraisal requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills to prepare and present persuasive oral and written reports effectively to bank personnel of all levels, including internal and external auditors and regulatory examiners;
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point)
Gather information; identify linkages and trends and apply findings to assignments;
Motivate and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes without organizational authority.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance;
6+ years of direct loan review or loan audit experience, or a minimum of 5+ years of equivalent lending, credit underwriting or portfolio management experience;
