Human Resource Director, Watertown or Sioux Falls, SD

Schedule: Full-Time
Job Description: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all aspects of the human resource function. Specific responsibilities include setting HR strategies, policies and procedures for talent optimization from recruiting, to employee training, coaching, development and engagement. This position ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulation and oversees the administration of all HR processes.
This position must understand the culture and fundamental strategic direction of the bank and actively engage in implementation of those strategies. As part of the Senior Management Team, this position will participate in setting the overall strategic direction for the bank to assure that tactics are in place to achieve the set strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Create and maintain current Job Descriptions.
Recruit and manage the candidate pipeline, selection, interview, and hiring processes.
Develop onboarding and training programs.
Oversee the performance evaluation process.
Conduct discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Supervise the input, maintenance and processing of payroll data.
Chair the compensation committee and periodically review compensation strategy and structure within the bank and perform market analysis.
Develop organization strategies.
Manage the Human Resources Department.

Physical Capabilities
Ability to use eye sight, hearing, hand, finger and arm mobility to utilize the following technology and equipment: calculator, telephone, personal computer, and other office equipment. Must be able to tolerate extended hours in front of a computer screen. Must be capable of regularly lifting up to 20 pounds, and tolerate standing for at least 20 minutes at a time.

Qualifications

Education
Requires a minimum of Bachelor’s degree. An educational focus in Human Resource Management is preferred. HR Certification through SHRM or HCI is desired.
Experience
Two years of HR Experience is necessary.
Travel
Travel to all bank locations (or branches) is required from time to time. Travel is primarily during the business day, although some overnight travel may be expected.
